Blue blown glass vase (?)

Well, this one has me completely bamfoozled, and I don’t have a clue what it is! It is obviously a blown glass piece, deep blue-green in color, very nicely done, and quite attractive. Kind of looks like a lying-down flower with a long hollow stem, the point of which is quite rough where the glass was cut. The piece measures 13" long and the flower petal “bowl” is 6-1/4" x 5-1/2" x 2-1/2" high with a 1-1/4" deeply swirled rim that allows the whole thing to rest at a slight angle on a table or shelf while still being able to hold water. I suppose it could be a very stylized cornucopia vase, but I’ve sure never seen a cornucopia like this! Lots of little air bubbles in the glass. Whatever it is (and if you know, please email me), it’s hand-made, absolutely unique, highly decorative, and in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. Enjoy! Large swirl pattern platter

This 11-1/2" diameter pressed glass platter stands just a shade over 1" tall and features 22 graceful swirls that produce 22 points at the rim. Two of the points have very shallow chips that are difficult to see but can be felt. Otherwise great condition with no nicks, cracks, or scratches. Unmarked as to maker. Matching berry bowl set listed immediately above and matching salad bowl listed immediately below. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Large swirl pattern salad bowl

This is a large glass salad bowl featuring a lovely swirl pattern. It stands 3-3/8" high with diameters of 9-3/4" at the rim and approximately 5" at the bottom. Twenty graceful swirls start at the 2" diameter clear glass circle on the bottom and curve up and around the sides, forming 20 points at the rim. Unmarked as to maker. Gently used condition with some scratching on the interior bottom and several nicks and small shallow chips at the rim that are difficult to see but can be felt. Matching berry bowl set and platter listed immediately above. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Crystal coaster set

This is a set of 8 crystal coasters “plus one to grow on” as my mama always used to say every time we got one extra of anything! Featuring a faceted flower petal design on the exterior bottoms and a raised “wagon wheel” with six spokes on the interior bottoms, they stand 5/8" tall, with diameters of a shade over 3-1/4" at the rim and 3-1/8" at the base. They look exactly like some Federal depression glass coasters I’ve seen, except that those were marked and these aren’t. Six of ours are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratching. The seventh has a couple of fleabites on its rim, the eighth has a curved hairline crack on its exterior bottom, and the ninth has a very shallow small chip on its exterior bottom. Hazel Atlas Capri blue square bowl

This attractive 5-3/4" x 5-3/4" x 3" high bowl with flared sides and gently rounded corners on its square rim is from the Capri Blue line by Hazel-Atlas. Above the thick 2-3/8" square base containing a 2" diameter concave circle is a larger decorative square with deeply concave sides that produce a lovely design when viewing the bowl “head on”. The Hazel-Atlas Glass Co. was formed by the 1902 merger of four glass companies, including Hazel Glass Company and Atlas Glass and Metal Company, in Washington, Pennsylvania. The company had plants in several cities and was the largest manufacturer of glass in the 1930s. Hazel-Atlas Glass Co. was bought by Continental Can Co. in 1956. During the 1960's, the Hazelware Division of Continental Can Co. produced the Capri Blue line of glassware in several patterns, including this one called Colony. A very similar pattern, Colonial Square (a/k/a Colonial Block and Colony Square), also featured a square base, but the rim was circular, not a gently rounded square like true Colony. This Colony bowl is in very good condition with no chips or cracks, but a small nick at one corner of the rim, below which are a couple of scuff marks that could be manufacturer’s flaws or very old scratches. Anchor Hocking Swedish Modern bowl

This unusually shaped 6-1/2" x 6-1/2" x 3-1/2" high clear glass bowl is part of the Swedish Modern line by Anchor Hocking. The rim is deeply scalloped, and the four knob feet at the 2" diameter base are actually the bottoms of long teardrops that sweep upward and form a pleasing design on the four corners of the bowl sides. No nicks, chips, or cracks, but usage scuffing and light scratching to the interior. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Pattern glass corn roller dish

This is a really attractive 9-3/4" x 3-1/8" x 1-1/4" tall pattern glass corn roller dish made for holding an ear of corn and rolling it around in butter. The ends have notches where the cob holders would fit. The curving exterior bottom and sides feature long curved sweeping vine and leaf designs, surrounded by an all-over stippling design that ends with a scalloped top edge right below the rim of the dish. Three knob feet keep the dish steady on the table. Very good condition with no nicks or cracks, but there is chipping at the edge of one of the end notches. Someone obviously rolled his corn with a little too much gusto! (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Pattern glass vase

I’m not sure if this pretty little 5-1/2" tall vessel is actually a vase or might originally have been a small wine carafe. It’s marked F.T.D.A. on the bottom and also carries the number 1. Decorated with two sweeping convex arches front and back that intersect on the sides. Diameters are 2-3/4" at the flared mouth, 3-1/2" at widest point, and 2-3/8" at the bottom. Near perfect condition, with no cracks, chips, or scratches, and only one tiny fleabite at the exterior mouth rim. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Large divided relish tray

This is a heavy 10" diameter x 1" high divided relish tray with a sloping scalloped 1/4" thick rim. Two curving dividers separate the interior into thirds, with the top section being divided in half, for a total of four sections. A 26-point mitered starburst graces the exterior bottom, around which 20 slightly concave rays taper outward to the bottom circumference, ultimately matching the width of the 20 rim scallops. Perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. Several little air bubbles in the thick glass. See our matching divided relish dish listed immediately below. Divided relish dish

This 7-1/4" diameter x 7/8" high divided relish dish matches our relish tray listed immediately above. Here the mitered starburst on the exterior bottom has 20 points instead of 26, and the 20 slightly concave rays wrap around the bottom to become the sides of the dish, stopping just shy of the 20 sloping scallops at the rim. The interior is divided in half, with the top section also divided in half, giving a total of three sections. No nicks, cracks, or scratches, but two small shallow chips at the rim.
