Large blown glass pitcher
This very large clear glass pitcher with beautifully scalloped pouring spout and woven reed-wrapped applied handle stands a whopping 8-1/4" tall with diameters of 7" at its widest point, 4" at its base, and 4-3/4" at its rim. Measures nearly 6" across at the spout, and 9" across at the handle. This blown glass piece has a slightly ripply appearance and is quite elegant looking in its simplicity. Even though it’s not a tilt pitcher, I keep envisioning it full of ice cold lemonade or Kool-Ade for the kids, with a happy face drawn in the condensation! But from its absolutely perfect condition I’d guess that it has never been used for anything other than display. It is unmarked and has no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. Heavy square block candle holder
This very heavy 3" x 3" x 2-5/8" tall candle holder is made of exceptionally thick glass. The top, bottom, and side edges of the block are all mitered, and the top has a raised square section around the opening that would hold a 1-1/2" diameter candle. The glass has numerous small air bubbles and a somewhat wavy appearance, plus the most amazing manufacturer’s flaw I’ve ever seen: an indentation that’s circular on the bottom and curves up onto two sides of the block. One of the top corners is rough, as are two of the bottom corners. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Blue pattern glass water goblet
This is a 6-1/4" tall stemmed water goblet in blue glass with a hobstar and petal design. Mouth is 4" in diameter and hexagonal foot is 2-3/4" in diameter. Unmarked and in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. What looks like a chip at the rim is actually a tiny air bubble in the glass. (Click on picture for more images.) Pair of blue hobnail candle holders
This is a pair of 3" x 3" square x 1-1/4" tall candle holders made of thick blue glass in an overall hobnail pattern. They would hold a 1-1/2" diameter pillar candle. Unmarked, but I’ve seen identical ones listed as being produced by Hocking Glass ca. 1934-36. Very attractive, and both are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. Frosted yellow glass hostess set
This is a vintage hostess or snack set consisting of four 8" diameter plates and four 3" diameter handleless cups. Made of beautiful frosted yellow glass, the pieces, especially the plates, iridesce in the most amazing blues, pinks, purples, and greens. Each plate is a scant 1" deep and features a 2" diameter ring on one side to hold its companion 2" tall cup. All pieces are banded in gold at their top rim, but the gold is definitely worn on all of them, some considerably more so than others. One plate has two hairline vertical cracks and three tiny hairline nicks at its rim, and one cup has a tiny hairline nick at its rim. Still a really lovely set of vintage glassware. Frosted yellow glass display base
I don’t know what this beautiful vintage frosted yellow glass base originally held, but it’s ready to display your prized bowl, vase, decanter, planter, or even a huge 3-1/4" diameter pillar candle. Quite versatile, wouldn’t you say? I’ve never seen another like it. It stands 1-7/8" high to the top of its three 2" long “prongs”, with diameters of 5" at the top and 4-1/2" at the bottom. Unmarked as to maker and in near perfect condition, with one scratch on the interior bottom and slight roughness at the top inside edge of one of the prongs. (Click on picture for more images.) King’s Crown cordial
This is a 4" tall crystal cordial produced by the Indiana Glass Company in the King’s Crown pattern. The large thumbprint border at the bottom of the glass is repeated in a smaller size on the stem. The slightly flared mouth is 2-1/8" in diameter and the base is 2" in diameter. This pretty little cordial is in perfect condition, with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. Pair of crystal wine goblets
This is a pair of 5" tall crystal wine goblets with 2-1/4" diameter mouths and 2-5/8" diameter bases. The hollow stems are unusual in that they are 7-sided rather than the normal 6 or 8 sides. Also unusual is the fact that the vertical ribbing on the bowl portion of the goblets is much more pronounced on the interior than exterior surface. Both are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches, and for the longest time I thought they were identical. They’re not, but obviously they were supposed to be. On close inspection I discovered that one of them has a manufacturer’s flaw. The hollowness of its stem doesn’t extend down as far and the bottom scallops of the seven sides aren’t symmetrical. In fact, there’s a wavy flaw that completely encircles the bottom of the stem. This in no way affects its usability, but so much for quality control at the factory! Enormous glass block
This old behemoth is an 11-5/8" x 11-5/8" x 3-1/4" deep glass block that is extremely heavy. The thick clear glass has a slightly greenish cast to it, and the interior front and back surfaces are sculptured, producing ever-changing patterns as you look through the glass from various angles. Mouth measures 9-3/4" x 2-1/8". Would make one heck of a vase or fill it with colored sand and/or seashells to create your own special seascape. But why stop with inanimate things? This glass block is large enough to be used as an aquarium for a few small fish! Perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.
