This is interesting because View-Master International Group did not come into existence until 1981 when GAF sold View-Master to the Arnold Thayer group and the company was renamed View-Master International. VMI only existed for three years. When VMI bought the Ideal Toy Company in 1984, the company name changed once again to View-Master Ideal Group. Obviously this reel’s 1958 copyright date applies to Sayer’s original copyright date for the reel title, and this reel was actually produced by VMI sometime between 1981-1984.
