We don’t clean or polish our silver because lots of folks prefer to do it themselves so their “new” piece will match what they already have.

Rare George W. Shiebler jelly spoon
This is a rare George W. Shiebler & Co. 5" hammered sterling silver jelly spoon. Back carries the Shiebler mark (an S in a circle with wings on each side) and is stamped “Sterling” and “H. Lange”, which I assume was the distributor. I have been unable to find the pattern, which is completely plain, but highly distinctive because of its overall hammered texture. Monogrammed with an ornate G at the top of the handle. Shiebler was based in New York during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and, as you already know, their beautifully crafted items are scarce today. We’re fortunate to have 5 of these lovely spoons and price is for each. Now tarnished, but in good condition with signs of usage appropriate to their age. (Click on picture for more images.) Landess No. 2 ladle - Manchester
This is a 5-5/8" sterling silver ladle in the Landess No. 2 pattern patented in 1900 by the Baker Manchester Manufacturing Company. Back is stamped “Sterling” and carries the distinctive (and large) Manchester mark of an M in a shield flanked by two birds. The company was founded in Providence, RI in 1887 and apparently went through several name changes, including Baker Manchester Mfg. Co., Manchester Mfg. Co., and ultimately, after 1915, Manchester Silver Co. This ladle is in good condition with signs of usage appropriate to its age. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Sterling silver teaspoon
This is our mystery 5-1/2" sterling silver teaspoon. The back carries three hallmarks that I have been unable to identify. The first looks like a right-facing lion, the second is an anchor, but the third is impossible to make out. After the hallmarks are the words “Sterling” and “Pat. 126", followed by a T lying on its side. Good condition with signs of usage appropriate to its age. (Click on picture for more images.)
