 This Alabama souvenir glass is one of Gay Fad’s state glasses in what we’re calling the “picket fence” design because the wraparound pink background looks like a picket fence. All graphics and printing are in black. Glass stands 5" tall with diameters of 2-5/8" at its rim and 2-1/4" at its base.  This Alabama souvenir glass stands 5" tall with diameters of 2-5/8" at its rim and 2-1/8" at its base. Design composed of a large map of Alabama showing the locations of numerous cities and sites with “Alabama the Cotton State” on the right. Colors are yellow and black on a completely frosted glass. Glass bottom carries the Hazel Atlas mark so the artwork is undoubtedly by Gay Fad although not specifically marked as such. We have two of these glasses and price is for each.  This Alabama souvenir glass stands 4-3/4" tall with diameters of 2-5/8" at the rim and 2" at the base. Front says “Alabama the Cotton State” and the back features a map of Alabama showing the locations of numerous cities and sites. All graphics and printing are in red on a frosted background that stops 3/8" from the top of the glass, leaving a clear glass top border. Base is also clear glass and unmarked as to maker. Alaska “picket fence” souvenir glass - pink
 This rare Alaska souvenir glass is one of Gay Fad’s state glasses in what we’re calling the “picket fence” design because the wraparound pink background looks like a picket fence. All graphics and printing are in black. A large map of Alaska shows the locations of major cities and is surrounded by “Alaska” and a totem pole and whale on the left, a fishing boat underneath, and a dog sled and prospector panning for gold on the right. Glass stands 5" tall with diameters of 2-5/8" at the rim and 2-1/4" at the base that carries the Hazel Atlas mark on the bottom. No GF insignia, but only Gay Fad produced these “picket fence” souvenir glasses and we’ve seem several that in fact do carry the GF insignia. What makes this Alaska glass rare is that Gay Fad produced it for less than three years since Alaska didn’t become a state until 1959 and Gay Fad went out of business in 1962. Near perfect condition with no nicks, cracks, or scratches, but one tiny “chip” in the pink paint at the bottom of one of the pickets. Requires hand washing to preserve the paint. Arizona souvenir glass - yellow
 This Arizona souvenir glass stands 5" tall with diameters of 2-5/8" at its rim and 2" at its base. Front depicts a cowgirl on a bucking bronco in front of a saguaro cactus being filmed by an Indian wearing a 2-feather headdress with his bow and quiver on the ground beside him, an apparent reference to Arizona’s film studios, most of which are in the Phoenix area. Back features an Arizona map showing the locations of numerous cities and sites. Colors are yellow and black on a completely frosted background. Glass carries the Gay Fad mark and bottom carries the Hazel Atlas mark Perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, or color loss.
