Wm. Adams Chinese Bird saucer

This is a highly unusual version of the popular Chinese Bird pattern. It has the normal border, but three separate pictures (1 bird, 1 2-character Chinese scene, 1 3-character Chinese scene) surrounded by the normal chintz-type decoration. Usually you see this pattern with only the bird in the center, surrounded by chintz, or the bird in the center and two of each of the scenes toward the edges, along with the chintz. The back is marked Wm. Adams, RdNo. 623292, dating it to 1913, and says “This Pattern was introduced by William Adams in 1780 being a copy of a Chinese pattern & one of the first of its style produced in English pottery.” This 6-1/2" diameter saucer is in perfect condition: no chips, cracks, or crazing, and only slight discoloration around the edge of the back. Set of 2 Blue Ridge Fruit Fantasy dinner plates

Beautifully hand painted purple grapes, red cherries, and a yellow pear make up the very popular Fruit Fantasy pattern from Blue Ridge by Southern Potteries. One of these 9-1/4" diameter dinner plates is in perfect condition: no chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. The other has definite crazing, so we’re throwing it in basically for free! Blue Ridge sugar and creamer

Beautifully hand painted purple grapes and a yellow pear. No cherries, so these are not the classic Fruit Fantasy pattern, but coordinate well with it. Neither piece is marked on the bottom, but they are obviously Blue Ridge and hand-painted, which dates them from 1938-1957. Each piece is 3-1/2" in diameter and stands 2-1/2" tall. The creamer is in perfect condition inside and out: no chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. The sugar bowl has some discoloration on its bottom, both inside and out, and a chip and hairline crack at the inside edge. For display purposes, none of the discoloration shows, and you’ve got to look really hard to see the tiny portion of the chip that goes over the rim. Price is for the 2-piece set.
