White Shoulders foil encased bottle

This is an empty White Shoulders glass bottle completely encased in silver foil, no mean feat considering the deep groove around its midsection! The bottle is 1-1/4" in diameter and stands 2" tall to the top of its flared gold tone screw-on lid whose top contains the White Shoulders crown and Evyan logo. Quite an interesting, unique, and attractive little bottle. Everything seems to be in perfect condition except that the foil is starting to flake off the bottom. (Click on picture for more images.) White Shoulders perfumed body cream in original box

Okay, okay, so this isn’t a perfume bottle, but we’re on a White Shoulders kick here. This is a 6.5 oz jar of White Shoulders perfumed body cream in a lovely frosted glass shoulder jar with vertical ribbing all around except for a portion of the front where the familiar White Shoulders cameo and script appear in gold. Original identification sticker on the bottom of the jar. Gold tone lid with pink bottom edge. Never used, this full jar of body cream comes in its original 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" x 3" tall pink and gold box. Jar is in perfect condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks. This is a very pale pink plastic bottle with a deeper pink screw-on lid and pump dispenser. Originally held 8 oz of White Shoulders Body Lotion. Measures 2-1/8" side to side, 1-3/4" front to back, and stands 7" tall. Bottle is vertically ribbed everywhere except the flat front panel containing the gold White Shoulders cameo and script, as well as “Body Lotion, Lotion Pour le Corps.” Bottom carries its original sticker. This is a 1" diameter x 3-1/2" tall pink plastic container of Powdered White Shoulders with a pull-off cap. Yardley English Lavender bottle

This is a 2.5 fl. oz. Yardley English Lavender clear glass cologne bottle ca 1968. Very attractively shaped with eight tapered sculptured slightly concave panels. Full-length full-color front label depicts a lady carrying a market basket and accompanied by two children and a dog. The bottom of the bottle is marked “Yardley” in block letters, and the top of the gold tone screw-on lid carries the Yardley script. Bottle measures 2-3/4" x 1-1/2" at its base, 2-1/4" x 1" at its shoulder, and stands just shy of 4-1/2" tall with lid. Bottle retains some of its contents and is in perfect condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks, and the gold tone lid is free of damage and still shiny. (Click on picture for more images.) Yardley Leather Aftershave bottle

This is a full unused 4 fl oz bottle of Yardley of London Leather Aftershave Lotion in the classic tapered clear glass bottle with pull-off lid and copper tone metal shaker cap. Trio of art deco dresser bottles

This is a matched trio of beautiful art deco dresser bottles with gold tone screw-on lids with black interiors. The faceted corners of the clear glass bottles are long tapering pyramids that end in a point at the shoulder, and the two sides have slightly shorter sculpted concave arch pyramids. The gold tone lids have downward pyramids at their corners and sculpted concave arched pyramids on all four sides. Their tops are also concave. Standing 6-1/4" tall when lidded, the clear glass bottles measure 2-1/4" x 1-1/2" at their bases and are 1-1/2" square at their shoulders. All three bottles are full (I’m unfamiliar with the very pleasant fragrance), unmarked, and in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, or cracks. St. Johns Bay Rum atomizer bottle

This is a classic St. Johns Bay Rum bottle wrapped in a latticework of woven palm fibers. Produced by the West Indies Bay Company since 1946, the company is still in business today exporting a variety of fragrances for men and women, including their world-famous Bay Rum. This particular bottle was given to Ol’ Swaphos as a gift back in the early '60's. It was full then, of course, but he thought the bottle, particularly its wrapping, was too neat to discard once he’d used up its contents. Even after all these years, the bottle retains a delightfully masculine odor when opened. Measuring 3-1/4" x 1-1/2" x 6-1/2" tall to the top of its textured atomizer bulb, this bottle and its atomizer are in perfect condition. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Houbigant Quelques Fleurs bottle

This is a small Houbigant Quelques Fleurs clear glass bottle that remains nearly full of Eau de Toilette. First introduced in 1912, this fragrance is still available today – if you want to pay $95-$120 per ounce for the perfume! Even the bottles are expensive. Would you believe an empty one this size for $75 – and it didn’t even have its lid, but did have its original box. Go figure! Our little bottle measures 2" x 3/4" and stands 2-1/4" tall to the top of its flared gold tone screw-on lid. Gold lettering on the front of the bottle, and the Houbigant name on the bottom, as well as the number 8. Both bottle and lid are in perfect condition except for minor scratching at the serrated bottom of the lid. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Chantilly Liquid Skin Sachet bottle

This is a vintage clear glass Chantilly bottle with a lovely sculptured shape and gold tone screw-on lid with attached dauber. Chantilly is another Houbigant fragrance and was first compounded in the USA in 1941. This bottle measures 2" across at its widest point and stands on a 1" x 1/2" oval base that contains the Houbigant name on the bottom, as well as what looks to be the number 3 in a circle. Originally held 1/2 oz of Liquid Skin Sachet. Approximately half of the gold lettering on the front of the bottle has rubbed away, but the bottle itself is in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, or cracks. Nina Ricci L’Air du Temps perfume bottle

The front of this tall slender bottle features two frosted embossed birds in flight, the symbol of Nina Ricci L’Air du Temps scent, first introduced in 1948. Our bottle is 1-1/2" across at its widest point, tapering down to a 1" x 7/8" oval base, and stands 5" tall to the top of its ornate plastic pull-off lid. Goldtone cap and spray mechanism. Original label on bottom identifies the contents as 1 fl oz of Nina Ricci L’Air du Temps Eau de Toilette. Pink Art Nouveau perfume bottle

This lovely pink perfume bottle features a frosted drape front and back depicting a lady with flowing garments amid flowers and foliage. Very Art Nouveau in style. Bottle neck and lip are also frosted, as is the triangular stopper with ground glass bottom. Bottle measures 2-1/4" across at its widest point, tapering to a 1-1/2" x 1/3/8" ovular base, and is 5-1/2" tall when stoppered. Unmarked bottom. Zia Cologne bottle

This clear glass Zia Cologne bottle stands 4-3/8" tall to the top of its black plastic screw-on cap and is 1-1/4" in diameter at its shoulder and base, both of which are encircled by eight horizontal panels. Bottle bottom is embossed “Jergens” and the original paper label on front says “Zia Cologne, Jergens, Cincinnati, Made in U.S.A., 1 fl oz.” Now empty with dried remnants of the cologne it once contained.
