Antique lace collar

This is an exquisite antique deep olive gold lace collar with five applied sprays of three deep wine red flowers, one at the center, one on each side, and one on each end. Underneath each flower spray is an applied 1-1/2" “vase” sewn of the same deep olive gold thread. This incredible collar surely was hand-crocheted long ago by someone who was an expert in her chosen art form. And this truly is art! You just don’t see work of this quality all that often. The collar is 3" wide (5" to the bottom of the “vases”) and  approximately 18" long at its inner edge, although it’s hard to measure because of the curved construction. Perfect condition with no rips, holes, stains, or discoloration. Stunning to wear or display. It almost glows in the light! (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Shocking pink neck scarf

When was the last time you saw someone wearing shocking pink?? Well, here’s your chance to make a bold fashion statement. This silky 20-1/2" x 20-1/2" neck scarf undoubtedly dates to the 1960's and is in perfect condition with no rips,
holes, stains, or discoloration. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Hand printed head scarf

This is a very attractive 25-1/2" x 25-1/2" silky head scarf (or could be a large neck scarf) with repeating oriental designs in deep jewel tones of orange, gold, yellow, brown, and light beige. Tag says “All Acetate Satin, Hand Printed, RN24409, Made in Japan.” Near perfect condition with no rips, holes, stains, or discoloration, but a few tiny material flaws in one corner. Ecru damask fringed dresser scarf

This is a beautiful vintage ecru damask (or is it brocade?) dresser scarf or table runner that measures 41" long x 13" wide. On the other hand, when I asked Ol’ Swaphos to hold it up so I could measure it, he asked, “Are you sure this isn’t a man’s neck scarf for inside his topcoat?” Well no, darn it, now I’m not at all sure what it is, but you’re welcome to use it for whatever purpose you wish! It’s double thickness, making it quite heavy for its size, and open at each of the fringed ends. The geometric design is composed of ovals and swirls. It’s in perfect condition with no rips, holes, stains, or discoloration. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Beautiful vintage ecru lace

This is a beautiful piece of vintage ecru lace that measures 31-1/2" long x 9" wide. Very intricate lacework. The two long edges are finished with additional strips of lace and the two short edges are unfinished. Actually, this piece is rather intriguing. It is constructed of two identical lengths of 4-1/2" wide lace sewn together to form one piece with lovely cut-outs in the center. The other intriguing aspect is that on one of the long edges, the lace is gathered in four places where it attaches to its finishing lace strip, but there are no gathers on the other long edge where that finishing lace strip is attached. Curiouser and curiouser! I don’t pretend to know anything about sewing, lace, or any other kind of fabric, so all of this is quite fascinating to me! Perfect condition with no rips, holes, stains, or discoloration. However, there’s one place on the gathered long edge where the lace either didn’t attach to, or has come loose from, its edging.
