1960 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass

This is a 1960 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The pictures and the list of Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1959 wrap around the entire glass, so there’s no “front” or “back” of the glass. The pictures are of Churchill Downs and six horses and riders. Says “Kentucky Derby” and “Churchill Downs.” The winners’ list has no markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. We have four of these glasses and price is for each. All 4 are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. 1961 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass

This is a 1961 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The pictures and the list of Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1960 wrap around the entire glass, so there’s no “front” or “back” of the glass. The pictures are of Churchill Downs and two horses and riders dashing past the finish line. Says “Kentucky Derby” and “Churchill Downs.” The winners’ list has no markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. 1962 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass

This is a 1962 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The front depicts a horse and rider. The horse, No. 6,  is wearing the victory red roses. I’m not up on my Kentucky Derby history, so I don’t know if horse No. 6 won the previous year or if someone was making a less than subtle prediction of the 1962 winner! Front also has line drawings of the Churchill Downs steeples and a large horseshoe and says “Kentucky Derby" and “Churchill Downs.” Back lists all the Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1961. No markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. We have 4 of these glasses and price is for each. 1963 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass

This is a 1963 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The front depicts a race horse and jockey coming out of the starting gate, with a line drawing of one of the Churchill spires on either side above, bracketing “Kentucky Derby” in gold. Back says “Churchill Downs,” also in gold, has three line drawings of jockey caps, and lists all the Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1962. No markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. We have three of these glasses and price is for each. All 3 are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. 1964 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass

This is a 1964 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The front depicts a large horse head flanked by line drawings of the Churchill Downs steeples and says “Kentucky Derby" and “Churchill Downs.” Designed by Peter Max and artist Randoll McDougall. Back lists all the Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1963. No markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. 1965 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass

This is a 1965 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The front depicts a highly detailed drawing of two race horses and jockeys thundering down the track in front of a packed Churchill Downs grandstand. Above is a banner saying “Kentucky Derby Churchill Downs,” and below it says “Run for the Roses.” Colors are red, brown, and white on a completely frosted background. The back features a large bouquet of red roses in a vase, around which are listed all the Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1964. No markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. We have three of these glasses and price is for each. All 3 are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. 1966 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass

This is a 1966 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The front depicts two race horses and riders, with “Kentucky Derby” above and “Churchill Downs” below, both in gold. Underneath is a list of the 4 fastest runnings up to that time, being Whirlaway in 1941, Lucky Debonair in 1965, Decidedly in 1962, and Northern Dancer in 1964. Also includes the factoid that from 1875-1895, the distance was 1-1/2 miles, changed to 1-1/4 miles in 1896. Side shows a black and white drawing of the Churchill spires, and back lists all the Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1965. No markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. We have three of these glasses and price is for each. All are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. This is a 1967 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The glass is frosted and the front contains the words “Kentucky Derby - Churchill Downs” superimposed on a horseshoe and 4-leaf clover above a black & white graphic of the Churchill Downs spires. A list of all Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1966 wrap around the glass, interspersed with six additional black & white graphics of horses, jockeys, and a horseshoe. No markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. We have four of these glasses and price is for each. This is a 1968 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The front depicts a shield with a horse, horseshoes, a rose, and a jockey hat and whips inside, as well as the Churchill Downs steeples, and says “Kentucky Derby" and “Churchill Downs”. Back lists all the Kentucky Derby winners from 1875-1967. No markings for Triple Crown winners or fillies. (1968 was the year that Dancer’s Image won the Derby, but was laterdisqualified, leading to years of litigation before Forward Pass was declared the official 1968 winner.) Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. We have four of these glasses and price is for each. All are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. 1969 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass

This is a 1969 Kentucky Derby mint julep glass. The front depicts a highly detailed green and white drawing of a jockey in full regalia standing in front of an upturned horseshoe and a banner saying “Kentucky Derby” in gold. To the left is a line drawing of one of the Churchill Downs spires and a red and white drawing of two race horses and jockeys. To the right is a line drawing of the other Churchill Downs spire and “Churchill Downs 1969.” There was no winners list printed on the 1969 glasses because Dancer’s Image won the Derby in 1968, but was later disqualified, leading to years of litigation and appeals. Glass stands 5-1/4" tall x 2-3/4" in diameter. We have five of these glasses and price is for each. All are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches.
