Set of 4 crystal juice tumblers

This is a set of four beautifully etched vintage crystal juice tumblers that stand 3-3/4" high with diameters of 2-3/4" at the mouth and 2-1/4" at the base. Lovely etched design of a bird amidst roses, leaves, and curling tendrils. Glass is very thin and rings nicely when tapped. Unmarked bottoms. Three of the glasses are in absolutely perfect condition, but the fourth has one tiny fleabite at its rim. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Vintage footed rose bowl

This is a very pretty and unusually constructed pressed glass piece that I’m calling a footed rose bowl, although it may be something else entirely. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Obviously it’s all one piece, but it looks like an approximately 3" x 4" hollow globe sitting atop a 1-1/2" high pedestal with a 3" diameter base. The globe’s exterior surface is decorated with etched stylized grape clusters and leaves, while its interior surface features beaded strands coming down from the corners of the curved square top opening that is less than one inch square. Verrrrry interesting! The glass is quite thick and the whole piece looks positively Victorian. The bottom is unmarked. Whatever the originally intended use for this mysterious vessel, it’s in near perfect condition with no nicks, chips, or cracks. Minor scratching on the interior surface, and calcium deposits at the tiny tips of the miter cuts raying out from the top opening. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Small etched glass what’s-it

Okay, your turn. What is it? A pin dish? A candle holder? A master salt? Whatever it is, it’s made of glass, it’s pretty, it’s round, it’s 1-1/4" tall x 2-1/4" in diameter, and its vertical sides are decorated with etched flowers and leaves. It’s also unmarked on the bottom and in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. That’s it! No more hints! Let the guessing begin! (Click on picture for more images.) Set of 3 etched sherry glasses

This is a set of three curvaceous sherry glasses encircled by a band of elaborate etching deep enough to be felt with a fingernail, quite amazing when you consider the thinness of the glass itself, which looks to be blown. They stand 3-3/4" high with diameters of 2-1/4" at the mouth and 1-1/8" at the base. Unmarked bottoms. All three are slightly wavy at their rims and contain occasional minute air bubbles. All are in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, or cracks, but one has a tiny vertical scratch. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Set of 6 blown glass sherbet bowls

This is a set of six large, but rather fragile, blown glass sherbet bowls encircled by multiple bands of delicate geometric etching. The bowls stand 2-1/4" tall with diameters of 4" at their gently flared mouths and 2-1/2" at their bases. Bottoms are unmarked. Four of the bowls are in absolutely perfect condition, but the fifth has a tiny fleabite nick on its rim and the sixth has a chip on its rim, undoubtedly caused by careless stacking of these beautiful bowls. Shame on the culprit! (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Set of 4 frosted juice glasses

This is a set of four 3-3/4" tall juice glasses encircled with frosted leaves and garlands. Originally they also had gilded rims and a gilt band, but the gold is very worn on three of them and virtually nonexistent on the fourth. Gives you a good preview of what they’ll all look like in the future, and they’re not at all unattractive without their gilding. Diameters are 2-1/2" at the mouths and 1-3/4" at the bases, which are unmarked. Other than the gold loss, all four glasses are in perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. Etched wine carafe

This pretty glass carafe is encircled with a band of etched circles and additional bands of offset elongated ovals above and below. It stands 6-1/2" tall with diameters of 2-1/2" at its flared mouth, 3" at its widest point, and 2-1/4" at its base. I can’t find any mold marks, so I’m guessing it’s a blown piece. Bottom is unmarked. Perfect condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.
