Hendryx brass pedestal dome bird cage

This is a vintage Hendryx dome (bee hive) bird cage that is 17-1/4" tall with a pedestal base that is 1-1/2" tall x 6-1/2" in diameter. Concave tray is 14-1/2" in diameter and wire dome is 14-3/4" tall x 11-5/8" in diameter. Large finial and 1" diameter hanging loop at the top. Door plate reads “Hendryx, New Haven, Conn., Made in U.S.A.” Thoroughly patinated, but in otherwise good condition with one vertical wire missing its bottom 4-1/4" portion. Hendryx brass dome bird cage

This is a vintage 13-3/4" tall Hendryx dome (bee hive) bird cage. Bottom tray is 1-2/3" tall with top diameter of 12-1/2" and base diameter of 8-1/2". Wire dome is 12-1/2" tall x 11" in diameter. Finial and 7/8" diameter hanging loop at the top. Door plate reads “Hendryx, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., New Haven, Conn., Made in U.S.A.” Thoroughly patinated but in otherwise excellent condition with no broken wires. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Vintage brass pagoda bird cage

This is a 17" tall Art Deco pagoda style bird cage. Copper base is 1-3/4" tall x 11-3/4" in diameter. Brass wire cage is 15" tall x 9-3/4" in diameter and outside diameter of pagoda top is 14". Large finial top and 1-3/4" diameter hanging loop plus elongated interior loop for hanging a swing, etc. in the cage. Door plate is unmarked as to maker. Thoroughly patinated and recessed exterior bottom of copper base has oxidized to a beautiful green. Very good condition. One of the curved vertical wires has come loose at the bottom and the band around the pagoda bottom has separated at one place. (Click on picture for more images.) Tell a friend.

Victorian parrot cage and stand

Here is a marvelous bird cage and stand straight out of the Victorian era! The 25" high brass parrot cage features a 4-1/2" deep x 10" diameter semi-sphere bottom with a 3-3/4" brass tassel attached underneath and a 14" tall wire cage that rises to 17-1/4" tall at the top of its ornate cap plate and finial. Two decorated wire doors slide up to reveal 2" x 2-1/2" openings, while a third non-decorated wire door slides up to reveal a 3-1/2" x 5" opening. Unmarked as to maker. Thoroughly patinated, but in excellent condition with no damage whatsoever. The cage attaches via a large 2” spring to the heavy 72-1/2" tall stand that is richly embellished with wrought iron flowers and foliage. Its 11"-diameter highly detailed and heavy cast iron base measures 13-1/2" across at the feet. And what feet they are – each one comes complete with three distinct toes! Originally painted black, the stand now has surface rust, but no real damage. Together the cage and stand make a beautiful, impressive, and substantial Victorian display.
